In Telangana, the PrajaPalana program is going organized once again which is called Prajapalana 2.0. However, this time it is not for the six guarantees schemes, but for ration cards and Aarogyasri health cards. Those who have been waiting for new ration cards and changes to existing ones, as well as for Aarogyasri cards, should take note of this important information of prajapalana 2.0
Praja Palana 2.0
Prajapalana 2.0 will start in this month september 17 for 10 days, similar to the previous Praja Palana programs conducted for the six guarantees, this program will be held in every village, municipal area, and GHMC jurisdiction. Officials have been instructed by CM Revanth Reddy to ensure that staff is prepared to collect applications for ration cards and health cards from the public.

In the recent cabinet meeting held this month, the government started sub-committee to develop policies related to new ration cards and aarogyasri. The sub-committee has decided to issue new ration cards in place of the old ones and has also announced the eligibility criteria for new ration card. Eligibility Criteria for New Ration Card
For Rural:
- Income Should be less than 1.5Lakhs per annum.
- Farmers with up to 3.5 acres of land or those with 7 acres of non-irrigated land are eligible
For Urban:
- Income Should be less than 2.0Lakhs per annum.
Who are Ineligible:
- Families with greater than 2.0 lakhs income.
- Families with 4+ acres of farming land
- families with 8+ acres of non-irrigated land
- families having G+2 buildings
- having Plots over 1000square yards
- And Income Taxpayers, Wealthy families, families with more than one car, working professionals, doctors, engineers
- These are ineligible list for new ration card apply through prajapalana 2.0.
Guidelines for New Ration Card
Eligible families can apply ration card at Praja palana 2.0 time and previous applications will not be considered. Also annouced to provide digital PVC Ration card which includes chip in it.
- Eligibility: All previous ration card applications will be set aside, and only the new applications submitted during this program will be considered.
- Digital PVC Cards: New ration cards and Aarogyasri health cards will be issued in digital PVC form.
- Health Profile: A health profile will be created for each family member.
Prajapalana 2.0: Aarogyasri Health Card Update
Also with AarogyaSri, Every Family in Telangana will also be issued New AarogyaSri health card.
The previously provided aarogyasri card which is linked to ration card which will be delinked now and govt going to create health profile for family member who have ration card.
And an Aarogyasri health card will be issued in digital PVC Card form.
For this Purpose, guidelines have been provided to ASHA workers in every village. HSO applications for new ration cards and changes to existing ration cards can be submitted during the ten-days praja palana 2.0 starting from September 17.
