The government believes that many people apply for ration cards primarily to access state and central government schemes. To simplify this process, the Telangana government launched a new initiative called the Family Digital Card under the “One State One Card” concept.

Family Digital card will allow eligible families to access not only ration supplies but also over 30 welfare schemes, including Aarogyasri, Rythu Bandhu, Shaadi Mubarak, Kalyana Lakshmi, Aasara Pension, and student fee reimbursement. A pilot project for this initiative began on October 3, covering 209 areas from 109 constituencies.
